21st CENTURY ABSTRACT

 

           

Child's Play is a modern work of art created in 2003 in water color.

The artist TRACY SUZANNE PICKETT, doesn't always paint abstracts. Tracy is known for her botanicals and figure drawings, with paintings too of villages filled with people. Yet the work Child's Play was created with difficulty at time of loss.

The work of art was painted just after the death of Tracy's father, and the extremely large work in bright colors cheered Tracy from a somber caused by the passing of her father. The painting appeared in several international exhibitions in Chicago IL., and then came up stolen from one of the galleries. After a two-year search, the painting was recovered and returned to TRACY.
